why did I start this blog?

I started it because of a favorite meditation that offered the question:

:: what is your contribution? your money, your career, your reputation, your possessions that you leave behind?

what is your song, your poem? ::

This hit hard. My contribution that I want to be remembered for is certainly not material or professional labels. My contribution is my relationships.

I switched careers from corporate 9-5 to full time stock trader and moved from gorgeous California to be closer to my family and home community in Maine.

I sing every Sunday in church. I’m going to keep working on my birdsong ;)

My song and poem is this blog. My blog was created so I could make art with my words, voice and image. My writing is like my song. It’s early in the blog and I'm excited to see how this unfolds over the next while.
